Google reCAPTCHA

To protect your forms from spam and abuse, Cleanly Addons allows you to easily integrate Google reCAPTCHA into your site.

This guide will walk you through how to set up and enable Google reCAPTCHA in just a few steps.

🔧 Step 1: Get Your Google reCAPTCHA Keys

  1. Go to the Google reCAPTCHA Admin Console.
  2. Sign in with your Google account.
  3. Register a new site:
    • Label: Any name (e.g., “My Cleanly Site”)
    • reCAPTCHA type:
      • Select reCAPTCHA v2 if you’re using the standard checkbox version.
      • Select reCAPTCHA v3 for background protection (more advanced).
    • Domains: Enter your website domain (e.g., yourwebsite.com)
    • Accept the terms and click Submit.
  4. After registration, you’ll receive:
    • Site Key
    • Secret Key

⚙️ Step 2: Enter Keys in Cleanly Addons

  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to:
    Cleanly → Settings → Integration → ReCAPTCHA

Fill in the fields:

  • Enable reCAPTCHA:
Toggle this to ON to activate reCAPTCHA protection.
  • reCAPTCHA Site Key:
Paste your Site Key from Google.
  • reCAPTCHA Secret Key:
Paste your Secret Key from Google.
  • Enable reCAPTCHA v3:
Toggle ON if you are using reCAPTCHA v3. Leave it OFF if you’re using v2 (checkbox version).

💡 Tip: If you’re not sure which version you’re using, check what you selected when registering your site on Google.

✅ Step 3: Save & Test

  1. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
  2. Visit a page on your site that has a Cleanly booking form.
  3. You should now see the reCAPTCHA checkbox (if using v2), or it will work silently in the background (if using v3).
